I was super excited on this gorgeous fall day in Oregon for the family shoot that I had scheduled because it was actually with a family I had never met before! I always look forward to shoots with families but I always love to meet new people so this day was extra special. As it turned out, the Barry family was an incredibly sweet family that were an absolute joy to work with!

This gorgeous family of four, Haylee & Mike with their two sweeties, Brayden & Berklee, were ready to go all dressed in the most adorable color coordinated fall inspired outfits. It’s pretty rare to meet an entire family whose beauty on the outside matches that what’s on the inside, but that’s exactly the type of people the Barry family are!
Not only were they incredibly sweet, but they were also completely receptive to everything that I asked of them! They totally embraced my craziness as I was asking them to spin, dance, walk, hug and kiss each other. They did everything with a smile and just had fun with all of the little directions I gave them! You gotta love when your job is made that much easier by people who are willing to just go for it during their family shoot!

Oregon was showing off that day with it’s gorgeous, warm fall colors. Some of our favorite shots that day were in front of the pond where the bright colors of the leaves were reflecting so beautifully off of the water. I’m just so thankful for fall in Oregon. Especially as a photographer it’s such a blessing to be able to capture such natural beauty along with such beautiful families.
Brayden and Berklee were so much fun to work with! We got some fun ones of them having a little leaf fight and then some really sweet sibling pictures of them in front of the pond. I just adore the bond and love siblings share. Being able to capture that for the parents to have forever is just so special!
The only complaint from the entire day was from poor Brayden who much prefers to wear athletic type clothing! He was such a trooper though and wore the adorable outfit his mom picked out for him. He was sure to let me know when we were finished though how excited he was to get home and change back into his normal clothes. What a cutie!
Between the gorgeous fall colors, the sweet, kind, beautiful family and all of the fun we had, I’d call this family shoot a major success! Thank you, Barry family, for allowing me to get silly with you and to capture some great photos! I can’t wait to work with you all again!
