What a special time it was for me to capture this sweet little family and their precious girl’s first birthday! I met the Gosses when I was a second shooter at their wedding a while back, so I was so excited when they asked me to continue the legacy and capture their sweet daughter’s first birthday. We met right outside of the Albany Carousel Museum in the Albany Oregon and snapped a few family photos before popping inside to celebrate with friends and family.
The Party
When I arrived this Mama told me that her daughter does not like her photos taken at all, so I made it my personal mission to get some great shots of this little babe. I think we did a great job! She loved hearing my crazy animal noises and signing silly songs that made her smile. I know that is one of my favorite parts of shooting a one year session. Such a fun age of exploration and personality!
Once we got inside the Carousel Museum, the birthday girl switched into her party clothes and it was fun full steam ahead! She found her friends from gymnastics and family from all over. She loved spending time watching the carousel spin round and round. All the excitement sent her down for a quick nap, but she woke up refreshed just in time for cake.
I had such a good time not only at her party but hanging out the the Gosses and capturing those lifelong family memories. They are such a sweet family just full of love and joy and laugher. I can’t wait to watch this little girl grow (and hopefully shoot some more milestone birthdays!) I just feel so blessed and thankful I was able to be a part of her big first birthday!
